Did you know that poison “dart frogs” are called this way because the indigenous people of the amazon used their toxic secretions to poison the tip of their blowdarts. Poison dart frogs are extremely toxic, especially the golden poison dart frog. It is confirmed to have killed humans who touched the wild frog directly.

Have you ever heared of the Tree-Climbing Goats of Morocco? They climb the Argan trees of Morocco in search of food, which is otherwise sparse in the region. They climb even the tiniest of twigs! The kernels of the seeds are picked up by locals and used to grind into oil for cooking and for cosmetic puposes!?

Did you know a solar powered boat will start to circumnavigate the globe in 2011 exclusively powered by solar energy? The boat 'Turanor' is covered with solar pannels, is 31 meters long, 15 meters wide and 7,4 meters high! Top speed is about 8 nautical Knots and is crewed by 6 people.

Did you know the largest swiming pool is in Chili? It's part of the Alfonso del Mar resort. It is more than 1,000 yards long (1013m), covers 20 acres, has a 115ft deep end and holds 66 million gallons of water. It took five years to build, cost nearly £1billion and the annual maintenance bill is around £2million. Its salt water by the way... it comes from the sea situated just next to it???
